HCQ or Hydroxychloroquine for the Common Flu, Cold or Virus

Rate this Entry
If you look it up, it's used to prevent or treat malaria. But from my own experience, I think it works with the common flu or cold that we get in North America. I think you can take this daily to prevent virus-like illnesses also.

When I got the cold that started with a sore throat, it eventually spread to my lungs. I had a runny nose and was coughing quite a bit and that made my throat even more sore. I also had a slight fever, chills and aches all over my body. Energy was very low. Couldn't sleep or rest because my nasals were blocked and when I tried to breathe through my mouth, it triggered coughing. This was happening for several weeks. I started using over the counter(OTC) meds but they did not help much or only provided temporary reliefs but made me very drowsy and still low on energy . With HCQ, it got rid of my chills, fever and aches within 30 minutes of consumption. My energy immediately came back. It also reduced my coughing but phlegm discharge was more apparent which is good I think since I believed it was the phlegm that triggered the coughing and nasal blockages.

I basically stumbled upon HCQ while watching YT and Telegram videos. Found some interesting videos from people who were brewing their own HCQ. They were just boiling lemon and grapefruit pith and claimed that it's the cure for the corona virus. So I thought to myself, let's give it a shot. Since I had some lemons and some pomelo around, let's see if it works. I substituted grapefruit with pomelo as it was the same family as the grapefruit. However the pith were much thicker so you didn't need as much. 2 lemons and 1 quarter of the pomelo pith, all cut into chunks, seems to do the trick for me. Put them in a pot, fill with cold water until there is about an inch or so of water underneath. Then cover and cook on high heat until water is boiling. Reduce to low heat and let it simmer for 3 hours. Do not open lid. After about 3 hours, turn off heat and let it cool for about a half hour. Drain the pot into a jug and then drain the jug through a sieve to remove any remaining solids into a glass jar.

Take a medium sip once or twice a day if you're feeling fine. If you're sick, do it as often as needed. Your body will let you know when you should take more. It's quite bitter the first time but after awhile you get used to it and it tastes fine. Place in fridge for later consumption. Should lasts about 2 weeks in the fridge.

Enjoy!

Recently I caught another sore throat as I haven't been diligently taking my daily dose of HCQ. The scarcity of finding a grocery store that carries pomelo is also another factor of not taking my HCQ regularly. Anyway, after a day of thinking nothing of the sore throat, I woke up with body aches, chills, a more severe sore throat and a migraine. However there was no phlegm, fever, stuffy nose or coughing, this time. Determined to get rid of it before it gets any worse, I quickly sought out any store that had some kind of pomelo. Finally found some at TNT but they were oddly in a strange color. Very green and the meat inside were red. Decided to go ahead and brew the HCQ anyway. After taking some, I noticed my body did not react as quickly as I did the first time. My aches, chills, sore throat and migraine remained be it somewhat bearable now. Decided to do some research online and found that people were pouring Hydrogen Peroxide into their ears to get rid of a sore throat. I happen to have some and that night before bed, I dipped a Q-tip into the Hydrogen Peroxide and rubbed it in my ears. I noticed in the left ear, the Hydrogen Peroxide was quite bubbly and that is a sign that it is quite infected. I also took a sip of HCQ and went to bed. The next morning, my chills and aches were gone. My migraine is almost gone and the sore throat is also almost gone. I'm assuming my immune system was in quite a battle last night and I'm just feeling the side effect of the winning battle. I continued with the regiment and by mid afternoon, I felt almost back to 100 percent healthy.

I no longer use lemon pith. I've also noticed stores are not carrying as many varieties of pomelo anymore and their sizes seem to have shrunk by half. So now I just use the entire pomelo pith with distilled water.

I have noticed that if you don't let it simmer for at least 3 hours, you will start to notice a cloudy buildup in the final outcome of your HCQ once it has been transferred to a glass jar and placed in the fridge for a few days. Even after removing the cloudy buildup, it would re-appear again. And I've noticed it is no longer as effective so down the drain it went. Wasted batch.

Ivermectin seems to be another miracle drug that have been suppressed by Health Authorities and the media. I have not had a chance to try it out yet but will see if it's better than HCQ. Appears to be a product you can purchase over the counter.

I believe the lemon pith may be required to create some kind of chemical reaction with the other pith. As it appears, without lemon pith, it is not as effective.

I think I see a trend in my sickness. It appears to be related to how often I eat out instead of cooking at home. More tracking required...
