Can't believe this product has been around for about a century and with so many daily life uses but yet has so little coverage.
Did you know that your toothpaste and mouthwash has a warning label that says call Poison Control If Swallowed? Of course they had to make the text extremely small so as to avoid someone accidentally reading it. You're probably thinking, well I swallow a bit of it sometimes and I'm OK. Yeah well a little bit of it for years and decades will add up. They don't want to kill you immediately but they do want you to be ill when you get older and hooked on their medications. I say they because if you look up where these products are manufactured, it's the same pharmaceutical companies that make your medications.
Anyway, after pouring down a few liters of mouthwash from Costco as toilet detergent and no longer using toothpaste, I found out that Baking Soda dissolved in distilled water and a hint of peppermint extract makes a great replacement.
1 Cup of Distilled Water
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Peppermint Extract
Will last you a week or so when brushing twice a day.
I also use it for Shampoo which my son prefers over baby shampoo as it doesn't sting his eyes. I use it as a cleaning detergent for toilets and bathtubs. And finally, my hydroponic tropical plants grow really well with a pinch of it weekly.
